Iron Goddess
A classic amber tea-based boba, rich and mellow.
Golden amber teas, real tapioca pearls, freshly made — one cup at a time, from 283 Lincoln Road.
Taken by customers and shared online — this is what BobaLab looks like.
BobaLab was built on a simple idea: bring the real handcraft boba culture from Taiwan to Christchurch. Not the plastic-cup boba you find on delivery apps — the kind made fresh, in a real lab setting, with proper technique and ingredients that speak for themselves.
Founded by Hannah Chen and tucked into Addington, BobaLab is considered one of Christchurch's first dedicated handcraft boba shops — a bold bet that this city was ready for something specific and serious about bubble tea. The 1000ml measuring beaker isn't a gimmick; it's the right vessel for the right amount of drink, and a nod to the lab philosophy behind every cup.
BobaLab is at 283 Lincoln Road, Addington. Open Wednesday to Sunday.
